Key Responsibilities:1. Hospital Administration & Operations
- Supervise day-to-day medical and clinical operations of the hospital.
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments (clinical, nursing, paramedical, and support staff).
- Develop and implement hospital policies, SOPs, and guidelines.
- Ensure optimal utilization of medical staff and resources.
- Participate in budgeting, planning, and resource allocation.
2. Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance
- Monitor and maintain clinical standards and protocols.
- Ensure timely medical audits and implementation of quality control measures.
- Coordinate infection control practices and ensure compliance with accreditation standards (NABH/JCI etc.).
- Address patient complaints and feedback in coordination with the grievance cell.
3. Staff Supervision & Development
- Oversee recruitment, induction, and training of medical and paramedical staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary actions where necessary.
- Organize CME (Continuing Medical Education), training, and capacity-building programs.
4. Regulatory & Legal Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including those related to the Clinical Establishment Act, Biomedical Waste Rules, etc.
- Maintain medical records and reports in compliance with statutory norms.
- Coordinate with government and local health authorities as required.
5. Medico-Legal Responsibilities
- Ensure proper handling, documentation, and reporting of Medico-Legal Cases (MLC) in the hospital.
- Supervise the preparation, verification, and issuance of Medico-Legal Certificates, including:
- Injury Certificates
- Cause of Death Certificates (in MLC cases)
- Postmortem Reports
- Fitness Certificates (for legal purposes)
- Sexual Assault Examination Reports
- Drunkenness Certificates
- Coordinate with police authorities in MLC-related matters.
- Ensure all medico-legal documentation is handled confidentially and as per the guidelines of the Indian Medical Council and judicial authorities.
- Train and guide junior doctors on proper documentation and handling of MLCs.
