Medical Technician

We are looking for both daytime and overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Med Tech's perform a variety of tasks to support patients and healthcare staff, including:

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Monitoring vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiration, and reporting changes to supervising nurses.
• Turning and repositioning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores and maintain comfort.
• Helping patients with mobility, including walking, standing, and transferring between beds or chairs.
• Documenting patient information, including food and liquid intake, urinary and fecal output, and changes in physical or emotional condition.
• Maintaining patient hygiene and room cleanliness, including changing bed linens, washing laundry, and cleaning rooms.
• Assisting with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers within the facility.
• Providing emotional support to patients and families, fostering a compassionate care environment.
• Acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare staff, communicating dietary restrictions, preferences, and other important information.
• Assisting with recreational activities on the SDU
• Cart audits
• Ordering medication
• Supervising the unit

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
