Medical Transcriptionist

Please Note: We are currently hiring for a Medical Transcriptionist role only. We are not seeking Medical Coders at this time, kindly don't apply with medical coder experience.

Responsibilities:

• Transcribe audio recordings of patient diagnoses, procedures, and treatments from doctors and specialists into clear, error-free medical reports.
• Edit and proofread transcribed reports for grammar, clarity, and correct medical terminology.
• Distribute completed documents to physicians for review and signature within established deadlines.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all hospital data security policies.
• Manage and prioritize transcription assignments to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain and update patient files and records within the hospital's EHR/EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Certification in Medical Transcription, Health Information Management, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 1+ years of proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist. Experience gained in your home country is welcome and considered.
• Exceptional knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, and punctuation.
• Fast and accurate typing speed.
• Strong ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain focus on detailed work.
• High degree of professionalism and an unwavering commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency with transcription software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
