Job Summary

A private pathology laboratory in Amherst, NY seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist/Scribe to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio recordings of physicians/ technicians into clear, accurate medical reports
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
• Review and edit transcribed documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to medical terminology and formatting standards.
• Utilize specialized transcription software efficiently to streamline documentation processes.
• Support physicians with timely documentation that enhances workflow efficiency and improves patient care quality.
• Keep up-to-date with current medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and transcription best practices to ensure high-quality documentation.
• $18.50 - $22.50 per hour

Experience

• Proven experience in medical transcription or scribing within a healthcare setting is preferred.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and transcription software is highly desirable.
