MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION DISPATCH

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Medical Transportation Dispatch professional to coordinate and manage transportation services for medical clients. In this vital role, you will serve as the central communication hub, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transportation for patients requiring medical appointments, hospital transfers, or other healthcare-related travel. Duties

• Coordinate and dispatch medical transportation requests promptly using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine
• Communicate effectively with drivers, healthcare providers, patients, and dispatch teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
• Utilize GPS and GIS technologies to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely arrivals
• Enter data accurately into systems like AS400 and Transportation Management Systems to track dispatches, driver logs, and patient information
• Manage fleet operations by coordinating with fleet management software and overseeing shipping & receiving processes for medical supplies when necessary
• Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall logistics operations within the supply chain framework
• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, incident reports, and service logs with precision and attention to detail

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management within a healthcare or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS tracking systems, and transportation management software such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine
• Familiarity with freight logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices
• Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
• Strong analysis skills to interpret data related to transportation planning and optimize routes accordingly
• Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy using systems like AS400 and Oracle Transportation Management
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Basic typing skills for quick documentation during dispatch operations
