Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive and ongoing nursing assessments of patient health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in patient records.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures, including blood draws, ECGs, and imaging preparation.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of patient care plans.
- Ensure infection control protocols and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including CPR and rapid response protocols.
- Prepare patients for discharge and provide post-discharge care instructions.
Safety & Infection Control:
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or deterioration and escalate appropriately.
- Participate in safety audits and incident reporting.
Teamwork & Supervision:
- Collaborate effectively with nursing colleagues and multidisciplinary staff.
- Support junior nurses, student nurses, and healthcare assistants.
- Attend handovers, contribute to ward rounds, and support efficient shift transitions.
