Medicare and Medicaid Biller

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medicare and Medicaid Biller to join our healthcare billing team.

We are a 3rd party billing company that provides revenue cycle management services. You must be in Florida. Currently the position is remote but that may change in the future. We are a growing company and are looking for people who are team players who are reliable and problem solvers.

In this role, you will be responsible for scrubbing claims and submitting CLEAN claims to Medicare and Medicaid for the state of Florida. Must have experience in re-opening claims, appeals, claims follow-up. Must have experience with HHA, SNF and LTC. Must be familiar with Point Click Care and or ECW. Minimum 4 years of Florida Medicare and Medicaid billing experience is required.

You will be hired as a 1099 contractor. Must work 25-30 hours a week from 8AM-2PM.

Duties

• Prepare and submit Medicare and Medicaid claims using appropriate coding.
• Claims re-opening and appeals as needed.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies to maximize reimbursement.
• Status all accounts.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Stay current with updates in medical terminology, coding guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to Medicare and Medicaid billing.
• Timely response to client email inquires.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing, preferably within a Medicare or Medicaid environment.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Medicare and Medicaid billing requirements and claims resolution.
• Experience working with PCC and or ECW.
• Minimum 4 years experience billing Medicare and Medicaid.
• Must understand HIPPA compliance
• Flexible

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
