Job Title: RN – Med/Surg ICU
Location: Bronx, NY 10461
Schedule: 3 days per week | 11.5-hour shifts (34.5 hours/week)

Position Overview:

A reputable acute care hospital in the Bronx is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The RN will provide comprehensive, high-acuity patient care, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to clinical best practices.

This role is ideal for a skilled critical care nurse with strong clinical judgment, proficiency in invasive procedures, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill medical and surgical patients.
• Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation procedures in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret clinical data, and respond appropriately to changes in status.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Support a culture of safety, quality improvement, and professional accountability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of IV Insertion and Phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.

Education:

Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

Certifications & Licensure:

• Active New York State RN License (verification through NYSED).
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
