This Med Tech Field Service Technician-Pyxis opportunity would see you on the front line of the implementation of the Pyxis®️ medication technologies. You will be responsible for traveling nationally to install hardware for automated medication dispensing systems within healthcare facilities throughout the United States.
This is a 100% travel position in which you will be traveling weekly on average with potential down time.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently uninstall system hardware and install requested computer systems and hard drives.

Configures network, time, and security settings for installed hardware and ensures they are compliant with server requirements.

Troubleshoots any on-site issues to ensure that medications are able to be accessed quickly and efficiently.

Teach a variety of hospital staff how to comfortably navigate new operating systems.

Autonomously ensures each project is completed effectively to the requests of off-site project managers.

Assignment-based scheduling averaging 30-40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday availability required.

Training for this role will be provided and is paid.
Duties may require compliance with client requirements that all those performing services on-site be fully vaccinated including Covid-19.
Travel Requirement:

Travel Local, Regional, and National as required to support customer needs.

Respond to and arrive at customer sites within the service ticket’s Service Level Agreement.

Must have an active driver license and a personal vehicle to use for job related assignments.

Travel time and mileage are paid for this role.

Must be within 1 hour of an INTERNATIONAL or MAJOR AIRPORT. Weekly travel required.
Job Requirements:
- HS Diploma minimum is required, higher degree is preferred.

Must have intermediate troubleshooting abilities in the disciplines of electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems.

Experience in Pyxis (Preference and will get priority) and/or Healthcare/Pharmacy Field Service.

Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer support.

This position requires a considerable amount of pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting to 50 LBS.

Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status, required.
Beneficial Qualifications:

Pharmacy Medical/Pyxis Equipment Technician (Preference and will get priority), Biomedical Technician (BMET) and Medical Informaticist are good considerations.

Hospital Pharmacy Biomedical Equipment Technician specific to Pyxis, Omnicell, or Capsa Healthcare experience is welcome

Prefer industry experience in the healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement.

Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision.

The potential base pay range for this role is 27-31 per hour.
