The Role

The Member Service Agent I is the front line of our mission and the primary point of contact for members in our branches.

This role blends relationship-building with precise transactional work. Member Service Agents build trust with members while accurately processing daily financial transactions that keep our members and the credit union safe.

What You’ll Do

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with members and create a welcoming branch experience
  • Accurately process daily teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers
  • Balance and maintain a cash drawer with precision and accountability
  • Follow established procedures to ensure transaction accuracy and fraud prevention
  • Provide efficient, friendly service across walk-in, phone, and electronic channels
  • Educate members on PAFCU products and services and make appropriate recommendations
  • Listen for opportunities to help members better meet their financial goals
  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and skill development
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC requirements

  • Members feel welcomed, respected, and confident when conducting their transactions
  • Transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with policy
  • Cash drawers balance consistently and discrepancies are resolved promptly
  • Members understand available services that may improve their financial well-being
  • The branch operates smoothly through teamwork, reliability, and accountability

  • You are dependable, organized, and comfortable handling cash
  • You communicate clearly and professionally
  • You are comfortable discussing financial products and asking for members’ business

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent
  • Previous cash handling, teller, or customer service experience preferred
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and coaching
