Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our practice in Port Saint Lucie, FL. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health care to patients across the lifespan, delivering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric-mental health care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida.
• Must have DEA number.
• Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or equivalent.
• Experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
