Job Summary:

As a Licensed Mental Health Professional, you will contribute to patient care by observing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of your assigned patients.

You will collect and document patient information including biophysical, psychosocial, cognitive, and environmental factors. You will document life cycle, developmental needs, health education, environmental and discharge planning needs throughout the patient’s hospital stay.

In this role, you will provide therapeutic interventions and treatments and ensure proper use of seclusion/restraints when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, with a current license in the state of Ohio, or a national certification such as recreational therapy.
  • Skills: Must have interpersonal and verbal/ written communication skills necessary to work productively with patients, families, physicians, and a variety of personnel. Must possess critical thinking skills in order to collaborate in the provision and documentation of patient interactions and under stressful situations. Must be able to operate machinery. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
  • Years of Experience: Recent experience in psychiatry required.
  • Certification: Must have CPR – BLS.

  • Skills: Individual, family and group therapy training and experience.
