Position: Mental Health Restoration Court Case Manager
Work Schedule: Full-time (nonexempt)
Reports To: Director, Porter County PACT

- Adhere to guidelines regarding confidentiality
- Provide opportunities for clients to maintain, enhance and/or develop prosocial natural support
- Engage in prosocial modeling and utilize effective communication in all interactions with the clients and in work-related functions
- Prepare evaluations for individuals referred to the program
- Inform the program team of individuals’ appropriateness for participation
- Conduct client orientation and risk and need and other program related assessments
- Refer clients to mental health and alcohol and drug treatment and other services and resources as applicable
- Develop a case plan based upon assessment results and collateral information
- Conduct case management meetings with clients according to the program’s research supported models
- Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical conduct in all work-related situations.
- Apply incentives, sanctions and service adjustments in accordance with agency policy
- Prepare written reports for the program team regarding client progress
- Attend team and court sessions
- Provide the program team with recommendations regarding incentives, sanctions, service adjustments, phase advancement, graduation and termination
- Maintain participant files, following agency policy and federal and state guidelines
- Documentation in accordance with agency policy
- Adhere to varying work schedules as needed
- Travel for purposes related to program operation and integrity and professional development
- Engage in ongoing professional development training, at minimum meeting initial and ongoing credentialing and training requirements established in the program policies and procedures manual and the Problem-Solving Court Rules
- Perform drug screens
- Assist with data collection and compilation of reports as needed
- All other duties as requested by the director
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required
- Professional experience working with individuals who have alcohol and/or substance use disorder or have a dual diagnosis for mental health and substance use preferred
- Experience working with trauma informed practices preferred
- Experience working in a justice setting preferred
- Demonstrated ability to identify and work with community resources
- Knowledge of evidence-based principles and practices preferred
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to operate a computer and other program equipment related to program operation

Problem-Solving Court case managers perform according to legally defined standard policies and procedures and standard practices of the profession, exercising judgment in applying guidelines to specific cases and circumstances. (Indiana Office of Court Services)

Pay: $44,000.00 per year
