BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our outstanding and compassionate team at St Josephs Behavioral Health Center !

Mental Health Technician Position Details:

• Facility: St Josephs Behavioral Health Center

• Location: Tampa, FL

• Status: Full time, Hourly

• Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

• Weekend Work: Every Other

• On Call: No
  

The Mental Health Technician Responsibilities :

• Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.

• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
  

Required Certification/Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred

• Patient Care Technician - preferred
  

Required Education:

• High School or Equivalent

• Associate's degree in related field - Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred
  

Required Experience:

• 6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
