What We Expect from You

You're not just any therapist; you're a superstar in the making. Here's what we want:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Licensed or License Eligible Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Counselor, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, Licensed Psychologist, because rules are rules
• Empathy that can't be taught in any classroom
• An ability to listen that would make Oprah proud

Here's the Nitty-Gritty. We're not asking for the moon—just the following:

• Hold one of these sparkling titles: Licensed or License-Eligible Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Counselor, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, or Licensed Psychologist. Trust us, we check!
• Be a maestro at identifying and implementing those golden evidence-based practices. If you don't know your CBT from your DBT, this may not be your stage.
• Have that knack for complex situations. If you can keep your cool when everything's going up in flames, you're our kind of hero.
• Flexibility! We don't mean yoga (although that helps); we're talking about your hours. Our community needs you, day or night.
• Be the chameleon of culture. We're a multi-cultural, community-based organization, and we need you to vibe with us and our clients.
• Your lips are sealed! Confidentiality is the name of the game. What happens in therapy, stays in therapy.
• We're fun, but we're not foolish. Your employment is contingent upon a clear fingerprint and criminal history record. Don't worry, we won't judge your bad hair days.
• Got your papers in order? You'll need to complete the U.S. Department of Justice Form I-9 like a pro.
• We're a diverse bunch, and we need you to respect and understand the variety of cultures that walk through our doors.
• Inter-personal skills should be your middle name. We're looking for someone who can jive with folks from all walks of life.

Your Daily Show-Stoppers

• Keeping records that are as meticulous as your skincare routine, all in line with True Balance policy.
• Be the star of our staff and clinical consultation meetings. Your voice matters, so speak up!
• Follow True Balance's policies and procedures like they're the lyrics to your favorite song.
• And of course, any other fabulous duties we cook up for you (all in line with your specialties and client need of course!)
• Conduct individual, family, couples and/or group therapy sessions!
• Write treatment plans that are as unique as our clients
• Collaborate with our team like you're part of an ensemble cast
• Show up (on time) and be fabulous!
