Mental Health Therapist

Job Overview
Ellis County Counseling PLLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated mental health therapist to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate is a fully licensed clinician who is collaborative, client-centered, and interested in working with a diverse client population including children, couples, and families. We are seeking a therapist who is comfortable providing both telehealth and some in-person services and who has availability during evening or weekend hours. Specialized training in play therapy or EMDR is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

• $55–$60 per clinical hour when providing therapy sessions
• 1099 position with opportunity to grow caseload
• Practice provides referrals, administrative support, and billing

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop appropriate treatment plans
• Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, children, and/or families using evidence-based practices
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and professional standards
• Maintain a part-time caseload within the practice
• Be available for at least two evening or weekend (after-hours) sessions per week
• Provide a mix of telehealth and some in-person sessions
• Maintain ethical and professional standards of care

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution
• Fully licensed clinician (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
• Willingness to become credentialed with insurance panels
• Experience providing counseling in outpatient or similar settings preferred
• Experience working with children, couples, or families preferred
• EMDR training or interest in trauma-informed therapy is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies is beneficial
