MEP BIM MODELER

A leading engineering consultancy delivering high-quality architectural, structural, and MEP design solutions across commercial, residential, educational, healthcare, and infrastructure projects. We are seeking a skilled BIM Modeler – MEP to join our technical team and support multidisciplinary project delivery through advanced BIM modeling and coordination.

Position Summary

The BIM Modeler – MEP will be responsible for developing accurate 3D models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in accordance with project specifications, BIM standards, and coordination requirements. The candidate must demonstrate strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and proficiency in BIM software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for:
• HVAC systems (ducting, piping, equipment)
• Electrical systems (lighting, power, cable trays, containment)
• Plumbing & drainage systems
• Firefighting systems
• Prepare coordinated MEP shop drawings and installation drawings.
• Participate in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks.
• Ensure models comply with LOD requirements and BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Extract BOQs and schedules from BIM models.
• Update models based on design revisions and site feedback.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines.
• Maintain modeling standards and file management protocols.
• Support preparation of as-built models and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 3–6 years of experience in BIM modeling for MEP projects.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Autodesk Revit MEP
• Navisworks
• AutoCAD
• Good understanding of MEP design principles and installation practices.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD, and coordination workflows.
• Experience in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work under deadlines and coordinate within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on GCC or international projects.
• Knowledge of BIM 360 / ACC or other CDE platforms.
• Basic understanding of Dynamo (advantage).
• Experience in preparing coordinated shop drawings for site execution.
