JOB PURPOSE:

GCL is looking to hire an MEP Coordinator who will assist in coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across design, procurement, and site execution stages. Ensure that MEP activities are properly integrated into the overall project plan through effective communication between consultants, engineers, and subcontractors, maintaining compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Coordinate and review MEP drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with architectural and structural designs.
  • Facilitate communication between MEP subcontractors, site engineers, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor progress of MEP works and report any design conflicts, delays, or technical issues to the Senior MEP Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Assist in preparing coordination drawings and ensuring approval of shop drawings before execution.
  • Support the planning and sequencing of MEP activities to avoid clashes and ensure timely completion of works.
  • Review material submittals and specifications for compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate site inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain updated documentation for drawings, reports, and technical correspondence.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards during MEP installation and testing.
  • Support the preparation of progress reports, logs, and meeting minutes for coordination meetings.


EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum Experience: 3–5 years of experience in MEP coordination within construction, landscaping, or infrastructure projects.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Job Specific:
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, coordination drawings, and multidisciplinary integration.
  • Familiarity with design and construction workflows, technical submittals, and approvals.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or other coordination software is an advantage.
