MEP Coordinator

GCI Contracting (under LEOS Developments) is seeking a talented and dynamic MEP Coordinator

We are looking for a highly skilled MEP Coordinator with strong technical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for UAE construction projects, specifically villas and mid-rise buildings. Candidates must be Engineering graduates with 7–12 years of proven experience in MEP coordination within a reputable contracting company.

The ideal candidate should be able to:

· Coordinate all MEP activities (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting & ELV systems) across project sites to ensure seamless integration with civil and architectural works.
· Review and validate MEP shop drawings, coordinated layouts, and builder’s work drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
· Lead coordination meetings with MEP subcontractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve clashes and design discrepancies.
· Ensure timely submission and approval of MEP drawings, materials, method statements, and technical documents.
· Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and verify that installations follow approved drawings, standards, and authority requirements.
· Identify conflicts or deviations and provide technical solutions in coordination with design and site teams.
· Collaborate with civil and architectural teams to ensure MEP provisions, openings, sleeves, and supports are executed as per coordinated drawings.
· Verify material deliveries and ensure compliance with approved material submittals.
· Maintain updated logs for drawings, submittals, RFIs, MIRs, WIRs, and MEP documentation.
· Support testing & commissioning activities and ensure all MEP systems are completed, tested, and handed over as per project requirements.
· Coordinate with authorities such as DEWA, DCD, DM, DDA, and other relevant bodies for approvals, inspections, and final clearances.
· Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management.
· Ensure MEP works meet quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Skills & Competencies Required:

· Strong understanding of MEP systems, installation practices, and UAE authority standards.
· Proficiency in MEP coordination, shop drawing review, and multidisciplinary integration.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage subcontractors and internal project teams.
· Strong documentation, reporting, and follow-up skills.
· Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of Navisworks/BIM is an advantage.
· Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
· Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
