MEP Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare design drawings, layouts, and detailed engineering calculations for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other building services systems.
• Review project specifications and client requirements to develop integrated MEP solutions.
• Perform load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, cable sizing, and equipment selection.
• Develop schematic diagrams, BOQ, and technical documentation for MEP systems.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil teams to ensure design integration.
• Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and equipment submittals.
• Ensure all designs comply with local authority codes, safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Provide technical support during project execution, testing, and commissioning stages.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct value engineering to optimize cost while maintaining performance and quality.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems design principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Dialux, ETAP or equivalent software.
• Good understanding of IS, IEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, BS, and local building codes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–7 years of experience in MEP design (construction, industrial, or commercial projects).
• Experience in design consultancy or EPC companies preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
