MEP Design Engineer

1. Job Summary

The MEPF Design Engineer will support the design phase of MEP projects by producing high-quality technical drawings, calculations, and documentation. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Manager (Design) and other team members to ensure designs meet project requirements and UAE /KSA regulations.

2. Responsibilities

a. Design & Technical Execution

· Report directly to the Project Manager (Design).

· Prepare detailed MEP design drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with project requirements and UAE / KSA regulations.

· Assist in developing design solutions that align with sustainability standards (Estidama, Al Sa'fat, Mostadam, Saudi Building Code, LEED where applicable).

· Ensure all design outputs comply with UAE / KSA laws and municipality regulations (e.g., DM, DEWA, Riyadh Municipality, Jeddah Municipality, Saudi Electricity Company, Civil Defence).

· Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create accurate and detailed technical drawings.

b. Project Support

· Support the Project Manager (Design) in coordinating with consultants and government authorities for design approvals.

· Participate in technical meetings to address design issues and ensure alignment with project objectives.

· Contribute to value engineering efforts to optimize design efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation and deliverables.

c. Compliance & Quality Control

· Conduct regular quality checks on design outputs to ensure compliance with UAE / KSA standards and project specifications.

· Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions and inspections.

d. Communication

· Maintain effective communication with the design team and other project stakeholders.

· Provide technical input during project discussions and reviews.

e. Additional Duties

· Perform other professional tasks as assigned by the Project Manager (Design) to support project delivery and company objectives in the UAE / KSA market.
