Senior MEP Design Engineer (HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting) – UAE

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced MEP Design Engineer with strong expertise in HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting system design for UAE-based residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in detailed design, authority submissions, coordination, and site support within the UAE regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities1️ HVAC Design

• Design HVAC systems for multi-sector projects.
• Perform cooling and heating load calculations (sensible & latent).
• Select and size:
• Chillers, DX Units, VRF/VRV systems
• AHUs, FCUs, FAHUs
• Ductwork, diffusers, and grilles
• Prepare HVAC layouts, schematics, sections, and BOQs.
• Design systems suitable for hot & humid UAE climate.
• Coordinate district cooling systems (where applicable).

2️ Plumbing Design

• Design complete plumbing systems including:
• Cold & hot water supply
• Drainage & vent systems
• Stormwater & rainwater systems
• Grease traps & sump pits
• Size water tanks, transfer pumps, booster pumps, heaters, and piping.
• Prepare plumbing layouts, riser diagrams, and isometric drawings.
• Design high-rise water pressure zoning systems.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Plumbing Code and authority standards.

3️ Firefighting Design

• Design fire protection systems including:
• Fire sprinkler systems
• Fire hose reel systems
• Fire pumps & tanks
• Clean agent systems (FM200 / NOVEC – if applicable)
• Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems.
• Prepare firefighting layouts, riser diagrams, and hydraulic calculation reports.
• Coordinate with Civil Defense for approvals.
• Basic understanding of smoke control & stair pressurization systems.

Authority Compliance (UAE)

Ensure compliance with:

• Dubai Municipality (DM)
• Abu Dhabi DMT / Estidama
• DEWA / ADDC
• Dubai Civil Defense (DCD) / Abu Dhabi Civil Defense
• UAE Fire & Life Safety Code
• UAE Plumbing Code

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
