MEP Designer (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC)

Position Overview

Caravane Earth Design Lab is seeking an experienced MEP Designer to lead the design, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems across buildings and master-planned environments.

The role requires strong technical expertise, integrated design thinking, and a clear understanding of sustainability, efficiency, and long-term operational performance, aligned with Caravane Earth’s ecological and cultural design philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate MEP, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems from concept to construction
• Integrate MEP systems with architectural, landscape, and master planning designs
• Develop infrastructure strategies including energy, water management, renewables, and waste systems
• Prepare and review MEP drawings, calculations, schematics, and technical documentation
• Establish and maintain MEP standards, specifications, and system benchmarks
• Review and manage consultants, contractors, suppliers, and technical submittals
• Supervise on-site MEP works, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover
• Deliver energy-efficient, climate-responsive, and low-impact system solutions

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in MEP design and site implementation
• Experience with complex buildings or master planning projects
• Strong knowledge of international MEP standards and codes

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and HVAC load calculation tools
• Solid understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, water systems, and energy efficiency

Preferred Experience

• Sustainable or ecological design projects
• Hot-climate or desert environments
