Job Title: MEP Draftsman

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP drawings including mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, drainage, etc.
• Create shop drawings, coordination drawings, schematic diagrams, as-built drawings and technical details.
• Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) to produce 2D and/or 3D drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure integration and detect clashes.
• Review sketches, specifications, and designs; convert to working drawings.
• Modify drawings based on feedback from clients, consultants or site/contractor’s inputs.
• Ensure drawings comply with local regulations, standards, and authorities (e.g. municipality, electrical, plumbing codes).
• Maintain drawing documentation, version control and proper filing.
• Occasionally visit site for measurement verification and adjustments where needed.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field.
• Experience: 5 years (or more depending on seniority) of MEP drafting experience, preferably in UAE or GCC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; good to have Revit,
• Solid understanding of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety etc.
• Strong attention to detail / accuracy.
• Ability to manage deadlines, adapt to design changes.
• Good communication skills; ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of relevant local codes & standards is a plus (municipality, electrical authorities etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
