MEP Draftsman

We are looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in AutoCAD and Revit , have a strong understanding of MEP systems, and be capable of producing accurate, coordinated drawings to support seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

Drawing Preparation & Detailing:

• Develop 2D AutoCAD and 3D Revit drawings for mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting), electrical, and ELV systems.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.

MEP Design Review & verification:

• Knowledge of pipe sizing & duct sizing standards & requirements for plumbing & HVAC
• Knowledge of MEP Standard calculations (Hydraulic Head, External static head, domestic Pump sizing, sump pump sizing, cable tray sizing)

Coordination:

• Coordinate with architects, structural, and other disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure integrated drawings.
• Ability to read and understand structural and architectural details and identify MEP services routes and requirements.

Participate in BIM coordination meetings to update models and drawings.

Documentation & Standards:

• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, consultant standards, and local authority codes (DEWA, DCD, etc.).
• Maintain version control and proper documentation of drawings.

Revisions & Updates:

• Modify drawings based on engineer/consultant comments and resubmit for approval.
• Update as-built drawings upon project completion.

Support to Site Teams:

• Provide clear drawings to site execution teams for accurate installation.
• Assist in preparing builders’ work drawings and penetration details.

BIM Execution:

• Develop and update Revit models for coordination, clash detection, and quantity extraction.
• Ensure LOD (Level of Detail) compliance as per project requirements.

Qualifications

1. Diploma / ITI in Drafting, Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP drafting (at least 2–3 years in UAE/GCC preferred).
3. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
4. Familiarity with BIM workflows, clash detection (Navisworks), and coordination processes.
5. Knowledge of local authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, DCD, DM, etc.).
6. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
7. Good communication and team collaboration skills.
