MEP Draftsman / BOQ Engineer

Experience

Minimum 2 years relevant experience (UAE experience preferred)

We are looking for a skilled MEP Draftsman with BOQ knowledge to join our team. The candidate should have strong experience in preparing MEP shop drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings as per approved design and authority standards
• Draft drawings for:
• Electrical systems (power, lighting, low current)
• Plumbing & drainage systems
• HVAC systems
• Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm systems
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, and site teams
• Prepare and review BOQs for Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Fighting works
• Quantity take-off from drawings and specifications
• Ensure drawings comply with Dubai authority requirements (DM, DCD, DDA, etc.)
• Revise drawings as per site conditions and consultant comments
• Assist in material submittals and technical documentation
• Support site team during execution if required

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman / BOQ Engineer
• Strong knowledge of shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Good understanding of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire systems
• Experience in BOQ preparation and quantity take-off
• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Familiar with UAE construction standards and practices
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• UAE project experience is an advantage
