MEP Draftsman cum Document Controller

Role Description

This is a temporary on-site role for a Draftsman - MEP Mechanical at Integrated Group in Doha, Qatar. The Draftsman will be responsible for creating mechanical drawings, technical drawings, engineering drawings, and computer-aided design (CAD). The role requires expertise in design engineering and ensuring the accuracy of drawings.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of technical drawings based on rough sketches, specification and calculations from engineers, surveyors and architects and MEP engineers.
2. To critically review the relevant documents prior to start of construction e.g IFC, Project Specification etc.
3. Checks and corrects work prepared by others in order to conform to standards, specifications, and design requirements.
4. Prepare finished drawings for construction work from sketches, specifications, and field notes.
5. Prepares MEP calculations for HVAC drawings, plumbing, piping and small substation and electrical works.
6. Design change requirements, including but not limited to piping, plumbing, fire fighting design.
7. Identify any deviation in the design and provide justification for the deviation.
8. Experience in MEP design detailing.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Drawings, Technical Drawing, and Engineering Drawings
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Experience in Design Engineering
• Ability to ensure accuracy and precision in drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to QAR4,500.00 per month
