MEP Draftsman Plumbing

Job Summary
The MEP Plumbing Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed plumbing drawings for building projects, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems, in coordination with MEP engineers and other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed plumbing shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD / Revit MEP
• Develop drawings for water supply, soil, waste, drainage, storm water, and vent systems
• Prepare isometric drawings and riser diagrams
• Coordinate plumbing drawings with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural drawings
• Interpret design drawings, specifications, and BOQs to produce accurate technical drawings
• Revise drawings based on consultant/client comments and site requirements
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local authority codes, and plumbing standards
• Assist engineers with design development, material submittals, and quantity take-offs
• Maintain proper drawing documentation and revision control
• Provide technical support to site execution teams

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical / Plumbing Engineering or Drafting
• 2–5 years of experience as a Plumbing Draftsman in MEP projects in UAE
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit MEP is an advantage)
• Good knowledge of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings
• Familiar with international and local plumbing codes and standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Strong attention to detail and coordination skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hot & cold water systems, sanitary ware layouts, and drainage systems
• Knowledge of pump rooms, water tanks, and sewage treatment systems
• Site coordination experience and as-built preparation

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
