MEP Draftsman – Work Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
• Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to ensure accuracy of drawings and designs.
• Revise and update drawings according to engineer comments, site conditions, and client requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and company standards.
• Prepare HVAC layouts, electrical layouts, plumbing layouts, and schematic diagrams.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing records for all project revisions and submissions.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and material coordination when required.
• Conduct clash detection and coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural drawings.
• Support project execution teams by providing accurate and timely drawing updates.
• Ensure deadlines for drawing submissions and revisions are met.
• Follow company safety, quality, and drafting standards throughout project execution.
