MEP Electrical and Plumbing Estimator

Job Summary
The MEP Electrical & Plumbing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, and tender pricing for electrical and plumbing works in building projects. The role supports tendering, budgeting, and cost control activities in coordination with engineers, procurement, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical and plumbing systems based on drawings, specifications, and BOQs
• Perform quantity take-offs for electrical (power, lighting, ELV) and plumbing (water supply, drainage, sanitary) works
• Analyze tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications
• Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare comparison sheets and cost breakdowns
• Assist in preparing tender submissions, value engineering proposals, and budget estimates
• Coordinate with design, drafting, and site teams to clarify scope and quantities
• Update estimates based on design changes and tender addenda
• Support project teams during pre-contract and post-contract stages
• Maintain estimation databases, pricing records, and historical cost data

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3–7 years of experience as an MEP Estimator (Electrical & Plumbing) in UAE
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and installation methods
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications
• Familiar with international and local authority standards
• Strong analytical, numerical, and time-management skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of value engineering and cost optimization
• Experience with GCC / UAE tendering procedures
• Exposure to pre-contract and post-contract cost control

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
