• Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MEP Engineer to join our engineering team. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with expertise in MEP construction processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities & Planning:

• To develop mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• To read & understand technical drawings, specifications
• Coordinate the design process with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to ensure integration of MEP systems into building plans.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the construction and installation of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors involved in MEP work to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team throughout the project lifecycle.
• System Evaluation & Testing:
• Conduct site inspections and perform system testing to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and meeting performance standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with MEP systems during the installation phase and in post-construction phases.
• Monitor energy consumption and propose energy-efficient solutions for ongoing optimization.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all MEP designs and installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and ensure safety during system installation.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines, architects, and project managers to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Communicate technical details and updates to clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and project alignment.

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 1 to 3+ years of experience in the design and management of MEP systems in construction projects.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical power distribution, lighting systems, plumbing, fire protection, and other essential MEP components.
• Skills
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards for MEP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork and reporting.
