Job Summary

The MEP Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at project sites. The role ensures that all MEP activities are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Site Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate MEP installation works (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems).
  • Ensure works are executed as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and authority requirements.
  • Review and prepare shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical reports.
  • Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other trades to avoid clashes and delays.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control of MEP works.

Project Coordination

  • Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding MEP activities.
  • Attend project meetings and provide progress reports.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, safety procedures, and site rules.
  • Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all MEP works comply with local authority standards (DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense, etc.).

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain proper records of site activities, inspections, and approvals.
  • Prepare as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
  • Support quantity verification and material reconciliation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP works (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
  • Familiar with local authority regulations and approvals.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in high-rise, residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).

Working Conditions

  • Site-based role with coordination between site and office.
  • May require extended working hours depending on project requirements.
