Responsibilities
1. Design & Engineering
- Develop detailed MEP designs, layouts, calculations, and technical drawings.
- Conduct load calculations, equipment sizing, and system modeling (HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing).
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material proposals.
2. Project Management & Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, civil/structural teams, and contractors to ensure smooth integration of MEP systems.
- Attend coordination meetings, resolve design conflicts, and manage on-site technical issues.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and quality of work.
3. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Implement quality control procedures for MEP works.
- Ensure safety regulations and industry standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, etc.) are followed.
- Conduct site inspections, system performance checks, and audits.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, BOQs, specifications, and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, approvals, and project correspondence.
Qualification & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- Professional certifications (LEED, PMP, PE, etc.) are a plus.
- 2–10+ years of experience in MEP design, consultancy, or construction (depending on seniority level).
