Job Title: MEP Engineer
Job Summary
The MEP Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, installation, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in buildings and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all MEP systems are efficient, safe, compliant with codes, and integrated smoothly with architectural and structural designs.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems according to project requirements and applicable codes
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports
- Review and approve MEP shop drawings and material submittals
Project Coordination
- Coordinate MEP works with architects, structural engineers, and contractors
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and site coordination meetings
- Identify and resolve design clashes and construction issues
Site Supervision
- Monitor installation of MEP systems to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
- Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
- Support troubleshooting and corrective actions during construction
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, safety standards, and industry codes
- Implement quality control procedures for MEP works
- Ensure energy efficiency and sustainability requirements are met
Cost & Schedule
- Assist in cost estimation, BOQs, and value engineering
- Monitor project schedules related to MEP activities
- Support procurement and vendor evaluations
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
Experience
- 3–10 years of experience in MEP design, construction, or consultancy (depending on level)
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical power systems, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM coordination tools
- Understanding of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, IPC, etc.)
Soft Skills
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- PE / PMP / LEED / CIBSE certification
- BIM or Revit certification
Work Environment
- Combination of office-based design work and on-site supervision
- May require travel to project sites

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
