MEP Engineer

Role Overview

The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities at the project site. The role ensures systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned as per approved drawings, quality standards, timelines, and budget.

The position plays a critical role in ensuring safety compliance, functional efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the project.

Key Responsibilities1. Planning & Coordination

● Review MEP drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

● Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants for seamless integration.

● Prepare MEP execution schedules aligned with project timelines.

● Conduct site feasibility checks before execution.

2. Execution & Supervision

● Supervise installation of HVAC, electrical, fire fighting, plumbing, external infra, STP, WTP, and ELV systems.

● Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and standards.

● Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance.

● Maintain quality standards during installation.

3. Quality & Compliance

● Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (HMDA, Fire Department, Electrical Inspectorate, etc.).

● Conduct inspections and testing (pressure tests, load tests, insulation tests, etc.).

● Ensure adherence to safety protocols and statutory norms.

● Maintain MEP documentation, test reports, and as-built drawings.

4. Cost & Budget Control

● Monitor MEP material usage and prevent wastage.

● Verify contractor bills and BOQ quantities.

● Support procurement team in vendor evaluation and technical approvals.

● Optimize design for cost efficiency without compromising quality.

5. Testing & Commissioning

● Conduct system testing and commissioning.

● Coordinate with consultants for final approvals.

● Ensure proper handover documentation and O&M manuals.

6. Handover & Maintenance Support

● Support final project handover.

● Ensure snag list clearance before possession.

● Provide technical support during defects liability period.

Required Qualifications

● B.E / B.Tech

● 8–10 years of relevant experience in real estate. 5 years of villa experience.

● Experience in gated communities or high-end villa projects preferred

Technical Skills

● Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire fighting systems

● Understanding of load calculations and BOQ preparation

● Proficiency in AutoCAD

● Familiarity with MS Project / Primavera (preferred)

● Knowledge of statutory compliance norms

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
