MEP Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate MEP works with architectural and structural teams.
• Review and approve MEP drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Prepare and review MEP method statements and work procedures.
• Coordinate material procurement schedules with project timelines.
• Raise and manage RFIs (Requests for Information) with consultants.
• Verify site measurements and ensure proper setting out of services.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks related to MEP installations.
• Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts using BIM tools.
• Supervise on-site installation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Support cost estimation, budgeting, and value engineering initiatives.
• Ensure proper integration of MEP systems with fire & life safety systems.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and prepare reports.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and safety standards.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Assist in authority inspections and approvals.
• Ensure proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials on site.
• Provide technical training and guidance to junior engineers and site staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
• 3–5 years of experience in MEP coordination within construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in UAE/GCC projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in testing & commissioning (T&C) of MEP systems.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE Driving license holder preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Infrastracture experience required
