MEP Engineer for Site

Responsibilities of an MEP Site Engineer

1. Planning & Coordination

  • Study drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements before execution.
  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules for MEP activities.
  • Coordinate with civil and finishing teams for service clearances (slab openings, wall sleeves, trenching, etc.).
  • Arrange necessary manpower, materials, and tools at the site.

2. Supervision & Execution

  • Monitor and supervise installation of HVAC, electrical panels, lighting, power, plumbing, drainage, fire alarm, firefighting, and other MEP systems.
  • Ensure works are executed according to approved shop drawings, method statements, and safety standards.
  • Check site progress against project timelines and report delays.
  • Conduct inspections and provide solutions for site-related problems.

3. Quality & Safety Assurance

  • Verify quality of materials delivered to site as per approved material submittals.
  • Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and inspection of systems before handover.
  • Enforce health and safety standards during installation activities.
  • Ensure all works are in compliance with local authority regulations (DEWA, DCD, etc., depending on region).

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and manpower logs.
  • Document inspection requests (IRs), request for information (RFIs), and non-conformance reports (NCRs) if needed.
  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals for handover.

5. Coordination with Stakeholders

  • Attend coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Resolve site clashes through coordination drawings (MEP vs. Civil/Architectural).
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
