Key Responsibilities
1. MEP Coordination
- Coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
- Ensure MEP works are aligned with architectural and interior design requirements.
- Resolve clashes through coordination meetings and updated shop drawings.
2. Technical Review
- Review IFC drawings, MEP shop drawings, builder’s work drawings, and material submittals.
- Identify discrepancies and raise RFIs for consultant/client clarification.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and authority standards.
3. Site Supervision
- Monitor daily MEP activities and ensure proper installation practices.
- Verify installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and ELV systems.
- Conduct inspections and ensure works follow approved method statements and ITPs.
4. Authority Coordination
- Coordinate submissions and inspections with:
- Dubai Civil Defence (DCD)
- DEWA (Electrical & Water)
- DU / Etisalat
- Dubai Municipality (DM)
- Trakhees / TECOM / DDA
- Ensure all MEP works meet UAE authority regulations and approval procedures.
5. Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare MEP work programs aligned with overall project schedule.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and subcontractor activities.
- Track progress and report delays or risks to the Project Manager.
6. Material & Procurement Management
- Prepare material requisitions and ensure timely procurement.
- Verify delivered materials against approved submittals.
- Manage storage, handling, and usage to minimize wastage.
7. Quality Assurance & Control
- Conduct inspections for MEP installations and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
- Maintain checklists, test reports, and inspection documentation.
- Support testing & commissioning activities for all MEP systems.
8. HSE Compliance
- Ensure MEP works follow project HSE plans and safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks related to MEP activities.
- Report unsafe practices and coordinate with HSE Officer for corrective actions.
9. Coordination with Stakeholders
- Liaise with consultants, clients, main contractors, and subcontractors.
- Attend coordination meetings and provide technical inputs.
- Ensure smooth integration of MEP works with civil, joinery, and interior finishes.
10. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Prepare T&C schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Ensure all snags are closed and systems are fully operational.
- Support preparation of as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and final handover documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Above 10 years of UAE experience in Fit‑Out / MEP Coordination
- Experience with authority submissions and inspections
- Certifications such as DCD, MEP design, AutoCAD, Revit MEP are an advantage
Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
