MEP Estimator QS

Job Title: MEP Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (QS)Department: Projects / EstimationLocation: UAEReports To: Estimation Manager / Project ManagerJob Purpose

The MEP Estimator / QS is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and cost control for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works in construction and fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates, BOQs, and tenders
• Study drawings, specifications, and project scope
• Take-off quantities for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting
• Prepare material and labor cost breakdowns
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Evaluate bids and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Assist in tender submissions and commercial negotiations
• Monitor project costs and variations
• Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and variation claims
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and site teams

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3–7 years experience as MEP Estimator or QS
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction & fit-out market
• Experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting systems
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software
• Knowledge of local suppliers and subcontractors
• Familiar with FIDIC and UAE contract procedures
