Job Title: MEP Operations Executive - Shopping Malls
About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Operations Executive to oversee and manage the MEP systems in our portfolio of shopping malls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP engineering and a proven track record in facilities management within large commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of all MEP systems in multiple shopping malls, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of MEP equipment and systems.
Manage and coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and projects.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
Analyze energy consumption data and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Prepare and manage budgets for MEP operations, maintenance, and capital improvements.
Respond to emergency situations and coordinate repairs to minimize disruptions to mall operations.
Liaise with tenants to address MEP-related concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on the latest MEP technologies and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements as appropriate.
Train and mentor junior staff members in MEP operations and maintenance procedures.
Prepare regular reports on MEP system performance, maintenance activities, and improvement projects for senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering Minimum 2-5 years of experience in MEP operations, preferably in large commercial properties or shopping malls Professional engineering license or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager) Strong knowledge of building automation systems, energy management, and sustainability practices Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Proficiency in MS Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required
