Responsibilities
  • Manage the execution of mechanical MEP works (HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting).
  • Review and validate MEP designs, shop drawings, and material submittals.
  • Ensure that mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems are installed according to approved drawings, standards, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to resolve clashes and ensure seamless integration of MEP services.
  • Supervise site engineers and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local codes, standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.), and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with design teams to implement value engineering solutions for cost effective execution.
  • Prepare and track project schedules, ensuring timely completion of MEP works.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare progress reports, site documentation, RFIs, and technical submittals for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Supervise the testing, commissioning, and balancing of mechanical systems.
  • Work with consultants and authorities for final inspections and approvals.
  • Prepare as built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
  • Maintain DLP.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management is a plus.
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in MEP engineering, specifically in the mechanical discipline.
  • Proven experience in luxury residential and commercial projects such as villas, hotels, high rise buildings, and industrial projects.
  • Proven knowledge of HVAC, plumbing systems and fire fighting (FF) design.
  • Strong background in MEP coordination, site execution, and project management.
  • Certified Mechanical Engineer is an advantage.
  • LEED, PMP, or MEP specific certifications are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, etc.).
  • Software proficiency: AutoCAD, HAP, Duct Sizer, Pipe Sizer, and MS Office. (Revit MEP, Primavera P6, MS Project are plus).
  • Solid understanding of MEP costing and cost control (costing management experience is an advantage).
