MEP Project Engineer with Hospital Experience

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Project Manager who oversees the planning, installation, and commissioning of critical building systems to ensure they meet technical specifications, safety codes, and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Design Review: Manage the MEP design process, collaborate with architects and structural engineers to prevent clashes, and review shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day MEP installation activities on-site, ensuring work aligns with approved drawings and project schedules.
• Budget & Cost Control: Develop cost estimates, manage project budgets, and implement value engineering to optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and report progress.
• Quality & Safety (QA/QC & HSE): Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, and conduct regular quality inspections of all MEP works.
• Testing & Commissioning: Lead the final testing and commissioning phase to ensure all systems (HVAC, fire protection, electrical, etc.) are fully functional before handover.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Typically 5–10+ years of experience in MEP project management, often with a focus on large-scale projects like high-rises or industrial facilities.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and technical tools like AutoCAD or Revit MEP.
• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED Certification is highly preferred.
