MEP Project Manager

Ramee Group of Hotels is in process of recruiting for MEP Project Head. Incumbent must have handled Hotel Projects execution to finishing stage.

Job Purpose:

The MEP Head is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems in a large-scale hotel project. This includes managing design coordination, installation, testing & commissioning, and ensuring MEP systems meet performance standards, quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Design Coordination:

• Review and validate MEP designs to ensure they meet hotel standards (e.g., HVAC efficiency, guest comfort, sustainability).
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, interior designers, and consultants during design and execution stages.
• Ensure integration of MEP systems with overall hotel operations (e.g., building automation, fire safety, BMS).

Execution & Supervision:

• Lead and supervise MEP engineers, contractors, and sub-contractors on-site.
• Develop and monitor work schedules for all MEP activities.
• Ensure execution is as per drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.

Vendor & Contractor Management:

• Evaluate, appoint, and manage MEP contractors and vendors.
• Ensure proper procurement and timely delivery of MEP materials and equipment.
• Review contractor submissions such as method statements, shop drawings, and material approvals.

Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure MEP systems comply with local regulations, hotel brand standards, and international norms (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
• Implement quality control and safety procedures during all phases.

Cost & Budget Control:

• Monitor MEP budgets and ensure cost-effective design and implementation.
• Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising quality.
• Approve contractor invoices and claims related to MEP works.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover:

• Oversee final testing and commissioning of all MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, etc.).
• Coordinate with hotel operations team for system handover and training.
• Prepare and validate as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and maintenance plans.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s Preferred)
• 12+ years of experience in MEP project management, with at least 3 hotel projects delivered end-to-end
• Strong knowledge of hospitality MEP systems including chilled water HVAC, VRF, fire alarm/suppression, water treatment, elevators, and building management systems (BMS)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
