Key Responsibilities1. Planning & Coordination
- Develop MEP project schedules and integrate them with the main construction program.
- Coordinate between consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review drawings, specifications, and method statements.
2. Site Management
- Monitor daily progress of MEP works.
- Ensure installation quality meets project standards and authority regulations.
- Resolve site issues and technical conflicts quickly.
3. Progress & Reporting
- Track progress of 1st fix, 2nd fix, and final fix works.
- Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.
- Verify and certify subcontractor progress claims.
4. Technical Oversight
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs.
- Ensure compliance with local codes (e.g., DEWA, SEWA, Civil Defense).
- Oversee testing & commissioning of all MEP systems.
5. Cost & Procurement
- Monitor MEP budgets and variations.
- Coordinate procurement of long‑lead items.
- Validate invoices and payment certificates.
6. Health, Safety & Quality
- Ensure MEP works follow HSE requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections and snagging.
- Manage handover documentation (O&M manuals, as‑built drawings).
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Leadership and team management.
- Problem‑solving under pressure.
- Excellent communication and coordination.
- Familiarity with project management tools (Primavera, MS Project).
- Knowledge of local authority approvals.
Typical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 7–15 years of experience in MEP construction.
- Experience with high‑rise, villas .
