What this job involves:
The small maintenance project manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and minor civil maintenance projects across the client’s portfolio. Leveraging core technical expertise in MEP fit-out or construction works, this role focuses on asset replacements, small-scale enhancements, and service improvements to ensure that buildings operate efficiently and meet client requirements. The position requires effective project supervision from initiation to closeout, close collaboration with suppliers and contractors, and proactive stakeholder communication to ensure seamless business continuity.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Lead the planning and execution of maintenance projects with a primary focus on MEP fit-out and construction works, including asset replacement and service upgrades.
Develop project scopes in coordination with client needs, building systems, and operational objectives.
Source quotations, review technical submissions, and evaluate tender documents to secure optimal solutions and maintain compliance with standards.
Supervise all stages of project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality benchmarks, health and safety protocols, and local regulations.
Manage project budgets, monitor expenditure, identify cost-saving strategies, and support accurate financial reporting.
Maintain clear communication among clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for effective project coordination.
Provide frequent progress updates, maintain accurate project records, and ensure consistent documentation throughout project lifecycle.
Promote sustainability by ensuring efficient work practices, supporting energy management, and contributing to related initiatives as required.
Ensure comprehensive project closeout, including the proper handover of completed works, documentation, and reports.
Maintain the 'SP-ECM Tracker' and work with suppliers on energy calculation templates
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP project management for fit-out or construction work, with hands-on exposure to building services and systems.
Strong technical knowledge of MEP disciplines, maintenance principles, and local regulatory standards.
Proven ability to manage contractors, assess tenders, and supervise works from initiation through completion.
Capable of working independently, resolving issues, and ensuring timely project delivery.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
Familiarity with project management tools and MS Office applications.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
