MEP QA/QC Engineer

Job Purpose

To ensure that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and relevant local authority standards through effective quality control and inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the QA/QC system for all MEP activities on site.
• Review approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ITPs prior to execution.
• Conduct daily inspections of MEP works including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical, ELV, and BMS systems.
• Ensure works comply with project specifications, authority regulations, and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, IEC, etc.).
• Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, and third-party inspectors for inspections and approvals.
• Raise and close NCRs, CARs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor installation quality, workmanship, and testing & commissioning activities.
• Ensure proper execution of testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handing over documentation.
• Maintain QA/QC records including inspection reports, checklists, test results, and as-built documentation.
• Assist in preparation of handover documents, O&M manuals, and snag list closure.
• Coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance.
• Support audits (internal & external) and ensure continual improvement in quality standards.
