Missions/Main Duties

• Manage and supervise direct report QA/QC Engineers daily.
• Set work schedules for QA/QC team including shift work and rest days.
• Perform quality control inspection duties related to Contractor’s construction activities.
• Review Contractor submissions and prepare detailed comments.
• Receive inspection notifications from Contractor and ensure attendance as per ITP.
• Maintain frequent contact with Contractor’s quality control staff to monitor compliance.
• Conduct observation and surveillance activities on selected Contractor field operations, including health, safety, and environmental controls.
• Prepare daily observation reports summarizing findings, discussions, and significant events.
• Liaise with Project Construction personnel regarding quality matters.
• Maintain daily diary and issue daily reports to Quality Manager with copies to Deputy Project Manager (Construction).
• Issue Site Discussion Records (SDR) to Contractor and ensure Site Discussion Register is updated.
• Monitor progress for close-out evidence of NCRs and surveillance findings.
• Discuss NCR progress with Contractor and Quality Manager during regular workshops.
• Monitor project safety programs and ensure Contractor adherence to approved safety plans and contractual requirements.
• Witness planned inspections as notified by Contractor, maintain photographic records, and prepare written SDRs.
• Witness laboratory sampling and testing activities.
• Report deficiencies in Contractor compliance with approved plans and procedures to Project field management.
• Identify unsafe situations, ineffective quality management practices, and non-compliant work.
• Maintain proactive relationship with Contractor’s quality and supervisory staff to facilitate corrective actions.
• Perform supplemental duties as required.
  
  

Profile/Skills

• Experience on industry relevant projects for position, preferably with successive responsibility on large projects transportation or infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in QA/QC roles within MEP construction projects.
• Strong expertise in technical documentation review and quality control procedures.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
