MEP QS/Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Quantity Surveyor & Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and cost control for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works on construction projects. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate cost forecasting and competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quantity Take-Offs (QTO):

Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) based on design drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

• Cost Estimation:

Develop cost estimates and budgets for MEP work, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.

• Tendering:

Assist in preparing and reviewing tender documents, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and contract terms.

• Cost Planning & Control:

Monitor project costs, compare actual expenditures with estimates, and provide updates to project teams.

• Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination:

Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with project requirements.

• Value Engineering:

Analyze project plans and offer cost-effective solutions while maintaining design intent and quality.

• Reporting:

Prepare regular cost reports and progress updates for management and clients.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP estimation and quantity surveying.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, CostX).
• Strong understanding of construction methods and MEP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
