Job Title: MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed cost estimates for MEP scopes (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to define the scope and identify cost / risk items.
• Manage pre-contract and post-contract cost estimation; prepare tender submissions.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, perform cost comparisons, and assist in procurement.
• Monitor project budgets, track cost variations and change orders, and maintain cost control throughout construction.
• Prepare interim payment applications, variation claims, and final accounts.
• Liaise with MEP engineers, project managers, site teams, and consultants to ensure alignment of design, scope, and cost.
• Maintain commercial documentation, reports, cost forecasts, and ensure compliance with contractual / legal requirements.
• Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project cost without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or similar field.
• Proven track record: 3-5 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying in UAE handling both pre-contract and post-contract phases.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical (power / lighting / ELV), plumbing, fire protection, etc.
• Familiarity with local market rates, suppliers, labour costs in UAE.
• Experience with tendering, contracts (e.g. FIDIC or local contracts), cost control, valuations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; good working knowledge of AutoCAD / drawings review; ideally experience with QS / estimation software .
• Good analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
