MEP Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of MEP & HVAC (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, HVAC, Fire Fighting) systems for various projects on construction sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations
• Conduct load calculations, system design, and equipment selection.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines and ensure proper integration of MEP works
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and regulations.
• Supervise and inspect MEP installations to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
• Review of shop drawings, material submittals, issue RFI if any and also review payment certificates and assist the PM for certification
• Attend weekly progress meetings with Client, Contractor & other stake holders
• Coordinate with authorities for site inspections and approvals
• Verify variation claims and evaluate for the MEP items and support contracts team for arriving eligible values
• Witness the testing and commissioning activities in line with specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to MEP systems during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field, preferably mechanical engineering graduate
• 5–7 years of UAE consultancy experience in MEP design and execution.
• Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant MEP calculation tools) & MS office
• Strong knowledge of relevant authority regulations, codes and standards of DEWA, Civil Defence, Etisalat and other regulatory bodies
• approval procedures etc in Dubai
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, equipment, and controls.
• Knowledge of FIDIC and construction contracts
• Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
